SCHOOL CLUBS - AUTUMN TERM 2018

Early Morning Club

Early Morning Club (EMC) runs every morning from 8:00 to 8:45 am. The cost for this club has increased slightly this year and is £2.00 per pupil per session. Breakfast will be available every morning for children arriving between 8:00 and 8:15 and will cost an extra 50p per pupil per morning. Breakfast consists of: a choice of cereal with milk; toast with spreads; fresh fruit; a drink.

Children should come straight to Ruth Maskell in the hall, where she will register them on arrival. If your child is in Class 1 or Class 2 (KS1), please accompany your child to the hall for handover to Ruth. Children in Classes 3 and 4 (KS2) can be dropped off at the school gate but must go straight to Ruth to be registered on arrival. This is important to ensure we know which children are on site.

Please note that younger pre-school siblings can attend breakfast club as part of their sessional care. This would need to be booked in advance through pre-school and will be charged to parents at the usual pre-school hourly rate and included on pre-school invoices.

After School Clubs

The main after school clubs run from the second week of term. All clubs run from 3:30 until 4:30. Some of these clubs will carry a small charge to cover costs, including external providers. Where an age range is not stated, clubs are open to all children of all ages.

GAP club

For those parents who would like after school provision on every day of term, we run an additional ‘Garway Activity Plus’ (GAP) club from 3:30 to 4:30 on any days that ‘normal’ clubs are not running. This club will be led by a member of staff and will involve a range of activities and games, both inside and outside in the school grounds. There will be a small charge for this club of £2.00 per pupil per session.

Film Club

Film Club shows a popular children’s film once or twice every term. Film club runs from 3:30 to around 5:00 and carries a small charge of £1 per child to include drinks and refreshments. Details of dates and films are sent via the school newsletter and bookings are made through the school office. You will need to complete a permission form for your child to join film club (this will be kept on file so you will only need to do this prior to the first film showing).

If you would like your child to attend a club, including GAP club, please ask for a form from the office.  On receipt of your  completed form, payments will be added to your Parent Pay account so that you can make online payments if applicable. For those who have not yet activated their Parent Pay account, letters will be sent home with details of how to set them up.

Clubs Autumn 2018

We endeavour to contact all parents as soon as possible if an afterschool club has to be cancelled. Sometimes this can be at the last minute and we apologise for the inconvenience this may cause parents and carers.
