Early Morning Club

Early Morning Club (EMC) runs every morning that school is in session, from 8:00 to 8:45 am. The cost for this club is £1.50 per pupil per session. Breakfast will be available every morning for children arriving between 8:00 and 8:15 and will cost an extra 50p per pupil per morning.

Breakfast consists of:

  • a choice of cereal with milk
  • toast with spreads
  • fresh fruit
  • a drink.

Children should come straight to Ruth Maskell in the mobile classroom, where she will register them on arrival. From 8:15, once breakfasts are over, the children might move across to the school hall to enjoy physical activities such as table tennis and badminton, in which case please hand over to Ruth in the school hall. If your child is in Class 1 (KS1), please accompany your child to the mobile classroom (or hall) for handover to Ruth. Children in Classes 3 and 5 (KS2) can be dropped off at the school gate but must go straight to Ruth to be registered on arrival. This is important to ensure we know which children are on site.

After School Clubs

The main after school clubs will run from the second week of term until the penultimate week of term. All clubs run from 3:30 until 4:30, unless otherwise stated.  Some of these clubs will be run by external providers and will carry a small charge.  Where an age range is not stated, clubs are open to children of all ages.

GAP club

For those parents who would like after school provision on every day of term, we will now run an additional ‘Garway Activity Plus’ (GAP) club from 3:30 to 4:30 on any days that ‘normal’ clubs are not running. This club will be led by Kate Nott and Sally Harris and will involve a range of activities and games, both inside and outside in the school grounds. There will be a small charge for this club of £1.50 per pupil per session.

Clubs Timetable and Calendar

We endeavour to contact all parents as soon as possible if an afterschool club has to be cancelled. Sometimes this can be at the last minute and we apologise for the inconvenience this may cause parents and carers.
