Welcome
Welcome to Garway Primary School!
Garway Primary School sits in a thriving rural village, in beautiful rolling countryside, close to Garway Hill. We have a very close knit community of children, staff and parents/carers with strong links to the local village. A very active Parent Staff Association (PSA) provides fantastic support to the school and organises fundraising and social activities throughout the year.
The whole school shares a strong commitment to Values-based education (VbE), which permeates every aspect of school life: we ‘live and breathe our values’, which help us to ‘be the best version of ourselves’. Both school and pre-school hold the international Values-based Education Quality Mark.
As a small school, we have high adult to child ratios and know every pupil as an individual. The uniqueness and strengths of each child are celebrated and valued. Pupils learn in mixed-age classes where all children are supported to make good progress. Pupils have a powerful voice in moving the school forward e.g. through the ‘Garway Green Team’. We hope our children will leave our school as confident, capable young people who know they have the skills and ability to make a difference.
We have extensive and varied school grounds, with lots of activity areas, where the children play happily in mixed age groups at playtimes. We are also committed to taking our learning outside as often as possible and all our classes enjoy Forest School activities.
This website aims to give a taster of our school, as well as providing regular updated information for both parents/ carers and pupils. We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find any information you are looking for.
We are very proud of our school and would encourage you to come and see it for yourselves. You can be sure of a very warm welcome.
